DOCUMENTARY FILM MELACAK EKOSIDA : Kejahatan Lingkungan Hidup di Indonesia

Documentary content :

Air pollution due to forest and land fires in the city of Pelangkaraya, the capital of Central Kalimantan, the worst pollution reached 1300% in 2015, above the threshold for healthy air for humans.

Most people who are exposed experience respiratory symptoms such as coughing, coughing up phlegm, heavy breathing, sore throat, red eyes and others.

Apart from the health of children's education being affected due to school closures, economic activity is also paralyzed.

Environmental disasters continue to occur, but in the name of economic growth and investment, large corporations get priority, even though in the field they are the ones who cause many forest and land fires. Clearing forests by burning is a form of environmental crime. Ironically, the state is more present as a protector for perpetrators of environmental crimes.

Apart from policies that are profitable for corporations, there are quite a few corporations that seem to have impunity or immunity before the law

Environmental crime in the case of forest and land fires is not an ordinary crime, it can be categorized as an extraordinary crime, this is what is known as EKOSIDA (damage, destruction or disappearance of the ecosystem of an area, whether carried out by humans or other causes resulting in the loss or reduction of the peace of the population in the region.

EKOSIDA crimes such as cases of forest and land fires result in extreme environmental destruction, this occurs due to the accumulation of repeated environmental damage. That's why perpetrators of environmental crimes can no longer clear land by burning forests, and have impunity from the law. There is a need for legal regulations that ensure that environmental crime is a form of EKOSIDA crime, because environmental destruction cannot be resolved by relying on ordinary environmental law.

My opinion about the documentary EKOSIDA :

This documentary explains how the forms and forms of environmental crimes have given rise to serious violations of human rights, all of which are born out of state policy.

This documentary film is packaged very interestingly so that when you watch this documentary you don't feel bored or bored. The messages in it are also conveyed well and are easy to understand, so that the audience can think about the impact of environmental crimes.
